Product of the Month - Eye Candy Trio

The “eye candy” technique uses three eye products: My Favorite Eyes Cream (yellow), Eyes Wide Open (blue) and Crystalescience Eye Serums (lavender). Apply a few dots of My Favorite Eyes Cream to the inside of the eye near the tear duct. The beta carotene and zinc oxide in the eye cream combine to make a pale yellow colore which camouflages dark circles and simultaneously promotes vascular health.

Next, work on the fine lines around the outside of the eye with Eyes Wide Open. Tap lightly along the orbital bone. Let the Azulene work its magic to "lift" and tighten the fine lines of this delicate area. For a special touch, put one to three drops of the Eye Serum (usually the Shrinking Violet – as it is the universal for all skin types) on the ring finger and gently pat all the products into the eye area. This technique can be reapplied throughout the day to revive and refresh. This gives a more hydrated look under the eye with the iridescence the Eye Serum provides. It can also work as a great makeup clean-up if there is any "fall out".

Tip: Run fingers under icy-cold water before applying the Crystalescience Eye Serum. This gives a refreshing boost that seems to help with puffiness.

If you are having pedicures done please remember not to shave the day of your appointment. This causes microscopic tears in the skin and easy for bacteria to enter your system. This is very important in pedicure thrones. If at any time you feel uncomfortable with someone’s sanitation process, SPEAK UP! It is your health that is at risk.

Brow Shaping

The brows are the frame of your eyes so it is very important to have the right shape to enhance your eyes and face. I will measure and design your brows before I wax them to be sure you will like them BEFORE we remove the hair. I also use a hard wax which is much gentler to the skin and will not leave it as red and will not remove skin.

Wax Reminders:

Please be advised if you are on Accutane you can not wax for a minimum of 6 months but I will not wax you for a year. If you are on antihistamines or antibiotics it is best to wait until 2 weeks after you finished your medication. With a hard wax it is more gentle and I can wax you but it is better to wait if you can.

NO TANNING 24-48 HOURS BEFORE OR AFTER WAXING! This is a must! I will not wax you if you have been in a tanning bed less then 24 hours before your wax appointment. This is not up for negotiation. I prefer 48 hours before and after waxing. Raspberry Moon will take no responsibility if you get into a tanning bed and burn your skin.

Update on "the boys"

I am thrilled to say the Lab Brothers and the black poodle shown in last month's newsletter have all found homes! YAHOO!

There are always tons of loving animals looking for good homes. So please think of your local Humane Society, Pet Finders, CCA, Kitten Action or any of the other rescue societies when you are looking for an animal. There are also a lot of pure breed rescue groups so if you have a particular breed in mind you will be able to find them online I am sure.

Also, for all of you pet lovers, I read this story in December's Reader's Digest. You all know how much I love puppies and men in uniform so I thought I would pass this story on to you:
